How the material rack works.

In the existing stamping automation production line, the uncoiler can always be seen. It has become an indispensable part of the production line and plays an important role in production, bringing more benefits to the enterprise. Today, let's understand its operation mode and role.


Material rack can be divided into not only power and no power, but also light, heavy, double-ended material rack and other models.


Lightweight material rack

At present, the more common uncoiler on the market is powered, because the powerless uncoiler needs to be driven by the head of the leveler to achieve the purpose of winding, which easily shortens the service life of the leveler, so the power frame is often used.


In the stamping automation production line, in order to reduce the early investment, most of the split equipment is used, so the uncoiler needs to be matched with leveling machine and feeder to send the material into the punch press for stamping. The starting and stopping of the uncoiler is controlled by the induction rod installed on the side of the fuselage (which can be replaced by the landing induction rack according to the customer's requirements).


The principle of automatic operation of the uncoiler:
The sensing rod has a 24V DC voltage and is insulated from the machine. After the material roll is unrolled through the uncoiler, the material belt will have a certain degree of sag when input to the subsequent machine.When the arc of the strip is too large to contact the sensing rod, the 24V sensing circuit is turned on, and the central relay and the time relay control the machine stop its operation.When the subsequent machine continues to transport the strip to release the strip from the sensor rack, the uncoiler will be automatically discharged, thus completing the start and stop of the uncoiler. This control method is only applicable to the surface of the material with conductivity to achieve induction.


In many stamping processes, the material used is not truly conductive, such as some silicon steel sheet materials, exterior coated materials, and non-metallic materials.These materials are not electrically conductive, so if you use the conventional standard uncoiler for unwinding, you cannot complete the automatic start and stop. Therefore, the sensing device and the sensing method must be modified according to the actual needs of the customer.

Heavy duty double end material frame

There are two ways to modify:
1. Use the on-beam photoelectric sensor switch to control the automatic opening and closing of the uncoiler.The shooting photoelectric switch is installed at the position where the uncoiler needs to start and stop.When the strip is drooped to the sensing position to block the incident light, the photoelectric switch controls the uncoiler to stop the unwinding. When the subsequent machine transports the material belt and removes the material from the position of the light beam, the material can be continuously started to achieve the function of fully automatic unwinding. 


2. Use the micro switch to control the automatic start and stop of the uncoiler.The micro switch fixed by the floor stand is placed in the material waiting area of the uncoiler ,the straightener and the servo feeder.When the unwinding tape falls and touches the micro switch, the micro switch sends a control signal to the central relay in the uncoiler, and the control material frame motor stops running.
These are the operation modes of the uncoiler. Uncoiler can not only be used for uncoiling, but also for winding, which can effectively solve the problem of difficult collection of waste.The bearing capacity, width, inner and outer diameter of uncoiler can be manufactured according to customer's requirements.In case of thicker coils, the press arm can be added to prevent the unwinding of the coils, so as to truly meet the special requirements of production.
