FAQs

Why use mechanically releasing feeders for soft materials?

For such specially sensitive materials, mechanically releasing feeders (rollers and JNC type) are recommended, because mechanical release relies on an eccentric shaft to compress the material. After adjusting the locking screws, the gap between the two rollers will be slightly smaller than the material thickness, which can ensure feeding while protecting the material from damage. Ordinary NC feeders with pneumatic release let the upper roller drop directly onto the lower roller. Even with proper clamping force, they can easily damage soft materials.


What is ultra-high speed servo?

There are three release modes: pneumatic release, mechanical release, and ultra-high speed servo release. Their release speeds and feeding speeds increase in this order. Pneumatic release is completed by an air cylinder. Mechanical release is triggered when a protruding mechanism on the punch press touches the feeder. Ultra-high speed servo release is controlled by a servo motor.


Is mechanical high-speed release faster than ultra-high speed servo?

Speed order: pneumatic, mechanical, ultra-high speed servo. Ultra-high speed servo release is the fastest.


How to connect NC signal wires to SYA punch presses?

There are 4 signal wires in total: automatic feeding X0, clamping and releasing X1. They connect to S1, S2, S3 and S4 on the SYA punch press respectively. The wiring position varies for each punch press. Confirm with engineers before wiring.


What is the feeding accuracy of NC?

±0.2mm/m (Note: For customers with extremely high accuracy requirements, fully closed-loop customized NC can improve feeding accuracy. Meanwhile, most molds are equipped with positioning pins to eliminate feeding errors caused by the feeder.)


Can NC be installed on mechanical punch presses?

Yes, but the punch press needs modification. NC operation requires two signals: feeding and releasing. Old mechanical punch presses cannot be electrically modified and have no electronic cam function, so signal triggering parts are needed. Proximity switches, photoelectric switches or micro switches can be used. The customer selects and provides the switches. We do not perform on-site punch press modifications.


What is the minimum feeding width of NC?

12mm (narrower materials require verification)
