Heavy duty decoiler, as an indispensable member of stamping automation production line, with the increasing level of automation in recent years, the demand of heavy duty decoiler is also increasing, and also prompted manufacturers to actively improve equipment to meet the higher requirements of enterprises. So, how should the enterprise choose the heavy duty decoiler?


Firstly, the enterprise shall make clear the material parameters for stamping processing, including but not limited to material width, material thickness, material, coil weight, coil inner diameter , outer diameter and other basic parameters.


Secondly, understand the requirements which need to be met in production, select appropriate functions according to the requirements, improve production efficiency, save time and labor costs, and select functions including but not limited to the following:


1. Decoiler inner and outer diameter adjust range

The standard machine inner diameter is 450~530mm,outer diameter is 1200mmif beyond this range, then need to make customized.


2. Inverter adjust speed

The standard without inverter, can not adjust speed, the inverter can help to adjust the speed according to the requirements, increasing the stability during uncoiling, make it more steady, reduce jitter, avoid material straining or bending, client can choose according to demands.


3. Air cylinder pressure arm device

The main function of the press arm  is to press the outer ring of the material, to avoid the confusion of the coil. Normally, this device is used when the material thickness is 2mm or thicker.


4. Hydraulic expansion device

Hydraulic expansion is a device installed on the decoiler to replace the traditional hand-rocking expansion. Hydraulic expansion makes the tiles expand enough to reach the position, avoiding the displacement of the material coil, and saving time and manpower. Usually choose it when material coil weight reached 3T or heavier, if not up to this weight also can install.


5. Hydraulic coil car

This device is generally used when the material is wide and the weight is more than 3T, which makes the whole feeding process simpler and more accurate, and saves a lot of time.


6. Photoelectric sensing device or proximity switch device

It is used to replace the traditional contact type induction bar device, and is mostly used for uncoiling non-conductive or surface coated materials.

 

Thirdly, determine the size of the factory space, whether there is enough space for the matching equipment, and what is the processing technology?

   

We need to consider whether it needs to match the subsequent machines, the subsequent machines and processing technologies will have further requirements on the decoiler.

Then, suggest client according to the their site situation and the requirements of uncoiling speed, provide the distance between each machine to client. If the surface of the material has requirements, if the surface of copper and aluminum needs to be covered with film, then it is necessary to suggest the customer to add a covered film device. If the customer determines that the material needs to be covered with film, the frequency conversion need to be suggested to regulate speed, to prevent the scratch from pulling the material.
